Vivian Hsu is a Taiwan-born singer, actress and model with a huge following in China and Japan. She began her career in show business by winning a beauty contest organized by a Taiwanese TV channel in 1990. This victory allowed her to get noticed by a producer who hired her to start a band called Shaonu Dui which will release two albums before disbanding. In 1994 Vivian Hsu played her first film and the following year, she recorded her first solo album. Slowly, she acquired public favor. In 1996 she posed for many magazines, including Penthouse Japan. The Japanese fall under the spell of this girl and Vivian Hsu became one of the essential artists of the Asian scene. Since then, Vivian Hsu divides her time between film, modeling and music.
